#BlackStarsAbroad: Abdul Mumin scores wonder goal in Vallecano comeback win

Date:

Black Stars defender Abdul Mumin scored a wonder goal in Rayo Vallecano’s 3-1 victory over Osasuna in a matchday four encounter of the 2024-25 Spanish La Liga on Monday night.

Raul Garcia scored a lovely volley when Mumin’s clearance fell kindly to him to smash the ball past Argentine goalkeeper Augusto Batalla in the 27th minute to give Osasuna a first-half lead.

Andrei Ratiu gave the home side the lead in the 66th minute after Abdul Mumin, whose ill-luck moment caused Ghana’s loss to Angola on the terrible Baba Yara Stadium pitch two weeks ago, had leveled the score for Vallecano ten minutes into the second half.

Unai Lopez sealed the win for the Madrid-based side in the 90+5 minute to lift Rayo Vallecano to 6th place on the La Liga table.

The Ghanaian international was named the player of the match at the end of the game.
