St. Mary’s Senior High School Celebrates 75 Anniversary

The St. Mary’s Senior High School, a prestigious institution dedicated to girl child education, is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

The milestone event, themed “Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures: 75 Years of Girl Child Education in Truth and Virtue,” will take place from 13th September 2024 to 23rd February  2025.

The school’s old girls association, affectionately known as SMOGANS, has been instrumental in organizing the anniversary celebrations.

Their passion and commitment to restoring the school to its former glory are a testament to the enduring values instilled in them during their time at St. Mary’s Senior High School.

The 75th anniversary celebrations will serve as a bridge between the school’s storied history and its bright future. The events will provide a platform for alumni to reconnect, students to engage, and faculty to share their insights on the future of education.

The proposed programs and dates for the 75th Anniversary is as follows:

– Press Briefing on September 13, 2024
– Launching of the Anniversary on September 21, 2024
– Community service outreach on October 19, 2024
– Public lecture on stress management on November 16, 2024
– Feast of Immaculate Conception/Donation on December 8, 2024
– Get-together for SMOGANS and staff on December 14, 2024
– Candlelight procession on January 10, 2025
– Heritage Day on January 24, 2025
– Fundraising dinner dance on February 15, 2025
– Climax of the Anniversary/Speech Day on February 20, 2025
– Thanksgiving Mass on February 23, 2025
