MAX LIFESTYLE: Study shows masturbation relieves menstrual cramps and muscle tension

Date:

According to research, female masturbation may offer some health benefits.

Masturbation is the act of touching one’s own body for sexual gratification. There are many various methods that people masturbate.

When you orgasm, your brain works hard to produce lots of different hormones and neurochemicals. These include serotonin and dopamine, which gives you a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction. Oxytocin is also released which can leave you feeling a sense of wellbeing, closeness and affection. Some studies have also indicated it could lower anxiety. You have an equal chance of having an orgasm whether you use sex toys or your fingers to masturbate.

The strengthening of the pelvic and anal regions reduced menstrual cramps and muscle strain, and improved sleep are only a few of the health advantages of masturbation. Masturbation is also advantageous if you want to relieve sexual tension, boost libido (sexual desire), relieve stress, and enhance body image and self-esteem.

Gloria Brame, an American Clinical Sexologist stated that, “An orgasm is the biggest non-drug blast of dopamine available.” In conclusion, if you’re left feeling euphoric after showing yourself some self-love you can thank your hormones.

While studies have emphasized the potential mental and self-esteem benefits of masturbation, several studies have also suggested that there may be bodily benefits.

Your heart rate increases as you orgasm, which is beneficial for your heart health even though it isn’t comparable to running for 30 minutes. Similar to this, you’ll experience contractions throughout your climax, which is maybe the most entertaining way to work out and improve your pelvic floor.

Some studies have even shown that the slight increase in cortisol that occurs after an orgasm may improve immunological function.
