Matheus Nunes is exerting every effort to complete his desired transfer to Manchester City.
The 25-year-old has stopped training with the first team at Wolves in an effort to force through a transfer to the Premier League champions.
Wolves, who are holding out for more than £60 million for their prized midfielder, rejected City’s original offer of about £47 million for Nunes.
After losing Belgian sensation Kevin De Bruyne for close to four months due to a hamstring injury, City is in serious need of strengthening their midfield.
After their intended approach for Lucas Paquetá failed, City made the decision to focus on Nunes.
