The maiden edition of the 2023 MR & MS AFROFIT will be launched on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Bukom Boxing Arena (Trust Sports Emporium) in Accra at 10:00 a.m.
The 2023 MR & MS AFROFIT is a first-of-its-kind gender-diverse (on-air and online) fitness sports competition that aims to inspire and motivate people across the African continent to prioritize their health and wellness.
The maiden season of the competition will be hosted in Ghana and broadcasted on Max TV from September to December 2023 and will bring together some of the most talented and committed fitness enthusiasts from all parts of the country to compete for the title of “Mr. and Mrs. AfroFit 2023 Championship”. Alongside the contest, there will be a documentary film produced to capture the spirit of the competition, the culture of the people, and the stories of the contestants for a wider audience.
Bensyl Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Bodybuilders & Fitness Association, under the Ghana Sports Authority and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is the producer of the Man-Ghana Bodybuilding Contest and a member of the International Fitness & Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB), and AfroFit Global Foundation is teaming up with major media outlets for production, broadcasting, and promotions.
We would also be working closely with stakeholder institutions (including other government bureaus) and look forward to collaborating with all cherished partners or sponsors to produce a high-quality show and promote healthy living across the continent.
Activities expected on the day will be: wellness and fitness talks; free health screening; demonstrations; media engagement; and networking.
