GFA CONGRESS UPDATES: Petition against me to FIFA wont hold- Kurt Okraku

Date:

During his speech during the Ordinary Congress in Kumasi, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association, addressed his detractors.

The chairman of Ghana’s federation is the subject of an investigation by FIFA after a petition was filed alleging that he violated the FIFA Ethics code.

As he continues to lead the FA while running for re-election in October, Mr. Okraku feels the petition will not be accepted.

“Fake paperwork and slandering people are not the answer to our football problems. Speak football if you’re interested in coaching football, he advised.

There are some GFA members that go through the administrative side of the game for documents and information before releasing them to the public in an effort to discredit certain FA members and the Association as a whole.

“Due to my position, I have access to documents that might smear and discredit members of Ghana’s football community. However, I would never act in that manner.

The Ghana Football Association announced that the crucial election will take place this year even though the roadmap won’t be made public until after congress.
