Omane Boamah: Hearts of Oak were lucky against Kotoko

Date:

Hearts of Oak were fortunate to earn a point against Asante Kotoko on Sunday, February 20, 2022, according to former Minister of Communications Edward Omane Boamah.

The ardent Kotoko supporter feels the Porcupines were the superior team and should have won the game.

Omane Boamah, who was at the match with Hearts of Oak supporter and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, ridiculed the latter for celebrating the draw in a Facebook post.

“Hearts of Oak was too lucky. Hon Sam Dzata George and his Phobia squad were very happy with the goalless game. Faaaaaaaaaaabulous the unbeaten…

Most importantly, the game was very exciting. Great for Ghana football” he wrote.

Many popular celebrities, like Omane-Boamah and Sam George, showed up to support their clubs.

Despite the lack of goals, the Super Clash lived up to the hype at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Both teams had several scoring chances, but it was the goalkeepers who stole the show with some spectacular saves.

The game was the final encounter of the Ghana Premier League season 2021/2022, with the second round due to begin on Friday, February 25.
