Hasaacas Ladies have been crowned champions of the 2023–24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League courtesy of a 2-1 win over longtime rivals Ampem Darkoa.

The final between the Northern Zone winners (Ampem Darkoa) and Southern Zone winners (Hasaacas Ladies) came off at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Two quick-fire goals from Veronica Baah Kumah and Black Princesses’ striker Mukarama Abdulai in the first half gave head coach Yusif Basigi, though he was absent from the game, a 2-0 lead going into the second half.

Ampem Darkoa returned strong, looking to break the defense of their opponents and managing to do so in the 78th minute when Ophelia Serwaah Amponsah pulled one back.

The ‘Dooooo’ ladies held off further attempts from the ‘Nana Mmaa’ ladies to win this season’s title after losing the two previous years to the same opponent.

Hasaacas Ladies will represent Ghana at the WAFU Women’s Club tournament.
