2022 World Cup: President Akufo-Addo arrives in Black Stars camp ahead of Portugal game

At Stadium 974, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will watch Ghana’s opening FIFA World Cup 2022 match versus Portugal.

At Hamad International Airport, President Akufo-Addo and his accompanying team were welcomed by the ambassador of Ghana to Qatar, Mohamed Noureddine Ismail, and Ibrahim bin Yousif Fakhro, director of the ministry’s protocol department.

After landing in Qatar, President Akufo-Addo visited the Black Stars camp at the DoubleTree by Hilton – Doha Downtown to meet with the team’s players, technical staff, and GFA leadership.

Along with the Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, President Akufo-Addo visited the team’s hotel to meet the players and offer them the support of Ghanaians while telling them that he will watch the match at Stadium 974.

At Stadium 974, the Black Stars will take on Portugal in the first match of Group H at 4 o’clock.
