MaxTv, a subsidiary station of Imax Media, yesterday awarded viewers for their dedication and participation in their widely acclaimed telenovela, Brothers, since its inception four years ago on screens.
Dubbed “Brothers Night,” the program drew participation from 20 viewers who were specifically selected for the in-house watch along with the MaxTv Novella Team for the finale of Brothers Season Eight.
It was sponsored by MaxBuy, Peeva drinks, Belshaw, Dɛɛdɛw Spices, Ice Drop, Orange Sanitary Pad, Flora Tissues, and Tango washing powder, among others.
The 20 participants were selected through a selfie video in which they were demanded to talk about a character in Brothers that they could mimic or scenes they could memorize and learn lessons from in not more than one minute.
For over 500 entries, only 20 viewers who craftly coined their stories were selected to join the Novella Team to watch the finale of Brothers Season Eight at the premises of MaxTv on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
Speaking at the occasion, the General Manager of Imax Media, Mr. Ricky Anokye, explained that the program was put together to reward Brothers fans for their devoted time.
He said his outfit had many activities in line to award all viewers and urged them to predict how the season finale, which is yet to be premiered, would end, and if they were able to predict right, they would stand a chance of winning awesome prizes.
Talking about how the telenovelas were selected, Ricky said they had an intelligence team who did background checks on the telenovelas to select the ones that were enriched with moral lessons and also inclined with the culture of Ghana before they showed it.
The 20 participants were grouped into two, Team Alyana and Team Cardo, to participate in a quiz, debate, and pick and act.
The ultimate winner took home MaxBuy Blender, the runner-up took home Synix Kettle and a bag, and the third took home Synix Kettle plus products from the other sponsors.
The rest took home MaxTv Telenovela T-shirts and products from all the sponsors.
Brothers is a Filipino telenovela that has five narrative arcs, or “books,” consisting of nine seasons.
