American iconic singer and songwriter, Keri Lynn Hilson has commended Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy for being a genuine musician.
She described Stonebwoy as peaceful and calm, whose personality is reflected in his music.
Following a viral video of the “knocks you down” hitmaker, she said Stonebwoy was a genuine artist whose lifestyle is depicted in his music.
One thing I can say about Stonebwoy is that some people you meet are nothing like the music they make, and it kind of takes you aback, but with Stonebwoy, he’s exactly the way he makes his records.”
He is very calm; he’s very peaceful; he’s so in tune; he’s almost like an angel on earth. He serves a great purpose through his music, but it’s really who he is,” she stated.
Keri Hilson further revealed that she and Stonebwoy have developed a strong personal connection, adding that they have spent hours speaking on the phone about life beyond their careers.
“We’ve gotten to speak over the phone for several hours now, and we’ve had conversations about love, about life,” she added.
Stonebwoy and Keri Hilson collaborated in 2020 on “Nominate”, a track from Stonebwoy’s Fifth Dimension album.
The song went on to become a global hit, further cementing Stonebwoy’s international appeal and influence in the global music scene.
