Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has expressed gratitude to EOCO boss Mr. Raymond Archer after meeting the GHS10 million bail requirement.
The “African Dancehall King” voluntarily entered into the custody of Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime head office on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, to respond to a probe into the purchase of a yellow Lamborghini Urus.
The luxurious car was seized by EOCO earlier this month when it was discovered it had links to criminal proceeds from a certain Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently in custody of the US authorities for USD4 million and is serving a seven-year sentence.
When news broke of Wale’s detainment, fans of the popular star thronged the streets of EOCO, demanding the release of their beloved icon, refusing to leave until he stepped out, despite being assured by Sammy Atoubi Baah, his manager, that he would be.
Following his release, Wale took to social media to express gratitude to Mr Archer and his staff, as he assisted with investigations. He was also grateful to his adoring fans for their love and support during the tense period.
