Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has become Manchester City’s leading goalscorer so far in 2026.
The British-born Ghanaian attacker has now scored six goals in eleven games since joining in January from Bournemouth.
With much of the goalscoring duties laid on Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who has been quite inconsistent so far, Semenyo appears to have taken up the mantle.
Semenyo, who has been tipped to be Ghana’s shining light at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in June, is helping second-placed City put pressure on the Premier League leaders, Arsenal.
“It means everything,” said 26-year-old Semenyo. “We just want to win with our games on our side, and whatever Arsenal does, we just have to wait and see.
“We just need to control what we can control, win our games, and we will see what happens,” Semenyo reacted after scoring the winner against Leeds United.
