Portugal are looking to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to reports.
The date for the friendly has been fixed for June 6, with the venue likely to be in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and its Portuguese counterpart are expected to finalise the details of the friendly soon.
The Super Eagles caught the eye with their impressive performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Portugal defeated Nigeria 4-0 the last time both countries met in a friendly in November 2022.
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, as well as Gonçalo Ramos and João Mário, was on target for the former European champions in the game.
