Reigning Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year, King Promise has expressed appreciation to fans after his massive victory at last Saturday’s event.
King Promise who won the most prestigious event, and three other awards took to social media to appreciate fans and Ghanaians for their support.
”The ‘Chosen One’-Artist of the Year at Ghana Music Awards. I’ve always made it clear the music is my life and being able to represent my people and touch lives is a responsibility I don’t take for granted.”
”Thank you Ghana, I’m proud to be your artist of the year. S/O all the nominees. Y’all make me better,” he said.
King Promise noted that the award would serve as an armor to fight further to promote Ghanaian music and culture in his zeal to preserve the country’s musical heritage.
”I’m not cooling off. This is gonna serve as armor to even fight and push more for our music and culture as Ghanaians.”
”I appreciate all of you especially the best fans in the world. This moment I will cherish forever. 7 years in the game filled with patience, resilience and consistency because I never took this position for granted. Now let’s goo even harder! Your boy-5 Star,” he added.
The coveted award, long considered the night’s highlight, came after weeks of intense public debate and speculation.
In the end, King Promise emerged triumphant, beating out a competitive field that included Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, Team Eternity, and Kweku Smoke.
His win has been widely hailed as well-deserved, especially following a year filled with career-defining moments.
From headlining major concerts worldwide to releasing his critically acclaimed “True to Self” album, which won Album/EP of the Year, King Promise also won the Afrobeat artiste of the year and Best Afropop song of the year.
He has demonstrated consistency, growth, and a deep connection with fans both at home and abroad.
