GPL W13: Legon Cities share spoils with Bechem United

Date:

Legon Cities drew 0-0 with Bechem United in a Ghana Premier League match day 13 game.

The game was played at the El Wak Stadium.

Both teams came into the game on the back of victories with Legon Cities beating Dreams FC and Bechem United also beating RTU.

Chelsea started the better of the two sides and nearly opened the scoring when Hafiz Konkoni headed onto the woodwork.

They were handed a glorious opportunity in the dying embers of the game when Francis Addo handled the ball right on the 18 yard box of Legon Cities.

The resulting free kick from Augustine Okrah went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.

The first half ended goalless and the second half started in similar fashion with Bechem United dominating proceedings.

Chances were far and few for both sides and the game eventually ended 0-0.

The draw leaves Legon Cities in 13th position on the league table with 14 points and Bechem United are 5th with 22 points.
