Students at St. Mary’s Senior High School revel in inspiring true life accounts of seasoned professionals in the various career spheres.
Courtesy of the ‘Global Women X’ and the 1989 Year Group of the famous ‘Veritis Veritas’ ladies, St. Mary’s SHS (SMOGA), students engaged with internationally acclaimed female professionals.
Ahead of their two-day 6th edition of the Global Women’s Professional and Business Exchange Conference & Expo, the team, immediately after their arrival in Ghana headed for the Catholic school led by Florence Torson-Hart, Angel Livas, and Cynthia Abankwa.
The group engaged the receptive young ladies in a lively mentorship and career guidance program, where Commissioner Belinda Handy, together with other keynote speakers, including Angel Livas, shared how she pursued her dreams against all odds.
It is worth noting that SMOGA 89 ladies in attendance presented five laptops to the Headmistress, Mrs Philomena Owusu Ansah, in support of the school’s National Science and Maths Quiz team ahead of the next competition.
Mrs Owusu Ansah expressed heartfelt appreciation to SMOGA 89, and commended Global Women X for the inspiring session shared with her students. She further called on other organizations and institutions to emulate this initiative by the Global Women X.
