An accident involving a cement truck has resulted in the death of one person on the Accra-Kumasi highway.

The sad incident, which occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, also saw two more sustain injuries.

A combined rescue team of the Ghana National Fire Service from Konongo-Odumase and Juaso was on the scene to extricate the victims.

The body of the deceased has been handed to the police, while the injured persons are currently on admission at the Juaso Government Hospital.

The cause of the tragic crash remains under investigation.
