England midfielder of Ghanaian descent, Kobbie Mainoo scored the opening goal for Manchester United on Wednesday night to inspire the team to beat Newcastle United 3-2.
The talented teenager started for the Red Devils today in their outstanding Round 34 showdown with the Magpies.
In the game played at Old Trafford, Kobbie Mainoo equalized in the 31st minute to give Manchester United the lead after he was assisted by Amad Diallo.
That goal separated the two teams at halftime.
After recess, Newcastle United through Anthony Gordon in the 49th minute to restore parity to the game.
However, thanks to goals from Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund, Manchester United managed to cruise to a hard-fought 3-2 win.
Youngster Lewis Hall netted the second consolation goal for Newcastle United in injury time.
After his goal today, Kobbie Mainoo has now scored three goals for Manchester United in the English Premier League.
