Date:

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance works across three regions on Friday, August 8, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance power supply reliability and improve service delivery to customers.

According to official notices issued by ECG, the exercise will affect parts of the Greater Accra, Volta, and Western Regions, with planned outages expected to last several hours in the listed areas.

In the Greater Accra Region, power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Mandela, SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordjor, Kinshasha, Ofankor Post Office, Taifa Junction, Dome CFC and surrounding areas.

For the Volta Region, the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) will carry out maintenance at the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point, resulting in a power outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Affected locations include Asiekpe, Ho, Kpeve, Tsito, Kpando, Kadjebi, Hohoe, Nkwanta, Jasikan and surrounding areas.

In the Western Region, the maintenance works are scheduled to take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The areas to be affected include Brumasi, Gensa Energy, Minakete, AECI, Kwameniapa, Brakwa Line, Juabeng, Dumasi and neighbouring communities.

ECG has apologised for the inconvenience these planned outages may cause and has assured customers that the maintenance is critical to ensuring stable and improved electricity supply in the affected areas.
