BROTHERS: Tonight (THURSDAY 13TH) On Episode 273

Date:

Senator De Silva watches the news of the explosion at Hipolito’s headquarters and commends Don Emilio’s move. General Oligario talks over the phone with Borja on the very same matter, just as Alyana covers the story. At the Morenos, Romulo and his men watch the news and the guys conclude that Homer’s gang was probably behind it. As Cardo looks on, Alyana wraps up and introduces herself and the rebels begin giving him questioning looks.

Victor expresses his dread of Don Emilio’s stunt working in Hipolito’s favour, saying that the people might pity. However, De Silva professes that the explosion would make Hipolito look incompetent, a liar and a failure because he had been going on and on about taking down Bloody Sun.

The members of Bloody Sun have a talk with their commander about the attack on their hideout, suspecting that Hipolito might have had something to do with it since he hadn’t warned them beforehand. Anton suggests that they hunt down the Vulture but Romulo argues that their group isn’t strong enough since he’s protected by the police and the military.

Don Emilio shows De Silva how people are bashing and crucifying Hipolito on social media, and the other guys make mockery of the slimy scoundrel. Meanwhile, Cardo harbors the thought of going to see his family to make sure they’re all safe so they wouldn’t have to worry so much about him.

The despicable director Hipolito bitches nonstop and blames Romulo for the explosion that has been wreaking bad publicity for him. Catindig indulges him. At camp Crame, team Billy discuss the recent bombing and come to the conclusion that Bloody Sun is responsible since Hipolito had publicly claimed responsibility for taking the group down.

“We need to catch Romulo Dumaguit,” Delfin states. “Because I believe he holds the answers to all of our questions.”

Romulo asks Cardo of the reporter they had seen on TV recently and our favourite hero reveals that she’s his wife. At the NMIG, the high-ranking officials watch the CCTV footage of how the bomb had been planted in the car. As expected, the despicable director Hipolito accuses Romulo of being the perpetrator. He then begins ranting and bitching when he learns that the investigation has produced no leads.

Cardo asks the commander permission to visit his family the following day in order to make sure they’re safe. Romulo consents and reveals that he and the others will be heading out tomorrow too to search for some information on where Homer’s gang is hiding. Later, Dulce urges Bert to make Cardo pay for the death of his son. Bert and Bruno argue that there’s nothing more to do since Banjo is already dead. Regine adds to the trouble and expresses her utmost dislike for our favourite hero.

Homer’s lapdogs come to learn of the identity of Cardo’s wife and the group of scumbags begin spouting some nonsense about how she’s exactly Homer’s type. At the Morenos, Regine and Dulce connive together against their unwanted guests. Regine cooks a quiet suspicious dish. A moment later, Cardo and his comrades fill the table and Regine serves the rebels and hands our favourite hero a dish she had prepared specially for him. A dish cooked with a trillion chilies.

Bruno shows up and Cardo moves over while he takes his seat. The unfortunate guy begins to enjoy Cardo’s dish but then, after a while, he suddenly freezes and spits out everything in his mouth. He begins complaining, asking why they’re having food cooked by the devil. Bert, who doesn’t seem to get the reference decides to have a taste of the dish as Dulce and Regine run off.

“I’m having a heart attack,” Bert laments.

While Hipolito gives Homer’s gang an earful for being practically useless in his quest to find Romulo, Anton has a talk with the commander. He roots for the idea of confronting the Vulture as to why he had allowed the SAF to attack them when he had already taken a vow to protect the Bloody Sun. Romulo mentions that their main objective is to track down Scorpion’s group.

The despicable director Hipolito and the scumbag Homer begin plotting to use the Dalisay family to find Cardo and Romulo. Meanwhile, Bert scolds Regine for the stunt she had pulled before. He laments over how he had almost burned his throat and Regine argues that the soup wasn’t meant for him and Bruno. Bert urges her to quit with her vendetta but Regine shoots back at him.

“You’re lucky I only put chili pepper. Broken glass was an option too.”

“Better stop this,” Bert admonishes.

Regine gives her father a look. “It’s not my fault,” she grumbles before walking out on him.

Bert redirects his focus on his wife. “She wanted to get her revenge on Cardo, but who ended up hurt? Bruno and I are the ones suffering.”

“That’s your fault,” Dulce fires back.

While Homer and his men discuss going to see Owl, a former member of Bloody Sun to ask of Homer, a miserable lackey of Homer spies on Alyana at the Dalisay residence. Pilo talks to Hipolito on phone, saying that one of their men had tailed Alyana but hadn’t been able to get anything since she hadn’t met with her husband. Hipolito urges him to be patient and keep on spying.

“What if our guy is just tailing her for nothing?”

“All kinds of birds need to land somewhere,” Hipolito states. “You’ll see that eventually, the Eagle will find its way back to its nest.”

Cardo moves stealthily and climbs into his house. He towers over his sleeping wife and coaxes her awake with a kiss. Alyana is delighted, even as our favourite hero apologizes for leaving her behind. She asks if he will be leaving and Cardo says they would all be in danger if he stays for much longer. Stating that she understands, Alyana promises to support him and wait for his return. A moment later, Cardo stands by the gallery wall where he soon reunites with Grandma Flora, who’s delighted at the sight of her grandson.

Grandma Flora gets all emotional as she bombards her grandson with question after question. She asks where he has been staying and whether he would be staying with them from now on and Cardo says he can’t tell her yet, adding that he has to leave so they don’t get dragged into the mess he’s in. Flora takes comfort in her belief that her grandson would eventually return home to her once he’s done everything he needs to do.

De Silva and his men make mockery of how Hipolito is being made fun of by the public. Speaking of, the despicable director bitches about his situation and vows to crush Romulo. Whatever the hell that means. Catindig asks how he’s going to catch the commander and Hipolito mentions that he’s already assigned someone to look for him. He then brings up Diana’s suspicions.

“Is that why you tell me to stay in the office?” Catindig begins. “Every time there’s an operation like this? Because you don’t want Oligario to suspect that we’re working together?”

“Just continue to keep an eye on the NMIG and on Diana. And make sure you report to me when they’re investigating anything that could destroy the both of us.”

Romulo and his men track down the Owl and ask if Homer has come by. Owl mentions that it’s been ages since he last saw the scumbag, that is, when he had left Bloody Sun. He asks why they’re looking for him and the commander recounts how the scumbag had betrayed them and started his own faction, adding that he’s the reason why the Bloody Sun had fallen. Owl sympathizes with them and Romulo charges him to get in touch with them once he hears from Homer.

Cardo is brought in to see Paco, Elmo, Yolly and the kids in their room. He has an emotional reunion with them. The kids urge him to stay with them but Cardo sadly announces that he would have to leave again. Paco offers to go with him but our favourite hero turns him down, saying that the situation is far more dangerous. He then charges the kids to always be good and listen to Grandma Flora. Meanwhile, Romulo returns to the Moreno house with his men after a fruitless search. Bert insinuates that Owl might have been lying since he was a good friend of Homer.

“That’s what I thought too,” Anton says. “But I realized that Homer doesn’t need his help if a high-ranking government official is already protecting him and his group.”

“Whoever’s helping them is the least of my concern,” the commander declares. “We’ll find the Scorpion…soon enough.”

Bruno makes a fist and seethes. “Once I get my hands on that Homer, I’ll teach him a lesson.”

Dulce deliberately drops something, startling Bruno. Meanwhile, the despicable director Hipolito begins losing his sponsors for his campaign on account of the recent bombing incident. The slimy scoundrel isn’t the least bit happy, but who cares? Back at the Dalisays, Cardo charges the kids to keep his visit a secret from everyone. He then bids an emotional goodbye to his family and proceeds to head out with a heavy heart.
