The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak has lauded his players for their immense mental strength shown on matchday seven of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The former league champions took on the bogey-side Vision FC away at Tema Newtown on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in front of a packed stadium.
The cagey encounter ended in a slender 1-0 win for Hearts over the “Eewo K3k3” boys courtesy of a Kwesi Asmah goal in the 86th minute.
Speaking to the media after the game, Nebojsa Kapor lauded the strength in mentality shown by his players to maintain a winning run.
“We have a serious and tough mentality. They are important. They are things; if you don’t have them, you can’t target serious goals. My team is very strong when it comes to mentality.”
Hearts moved to the top of the league standings after the win but fell to second position when Samartex defeated Medeama to claim the top spot.
The Phobians will now turn their attention to Basake Holy Stars, whom they face next at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
