Professor Emmanuel Osei is set to take over reigns as the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).

The follows the dismissal of Yaw Ampofo Ankrah who was appointed in March 2025.

The trained broadcast journalist who transitioned into the role of NSA Director General had recently come under enormous pressure over national stadia maintenance and allegations of visa fraud.

Prof. Osei served as the Ghana’s National Coordinator for School Sports. He was professional teacher, a practicing exercise scientist, a certified football coach, and a certified physical fitness instructor.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Human Kinetics (Sports and Exercise Physiology) from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.
