
The President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has issued a directive for the immediate dissolution of the Board of the National Sports Authority (NSA).
The governing Board Chair of the NSA, Dr Fred Awuah, and other representatives would have to hand control over to the sector minister, Hon. Kofi Adams.
The boards of NSA, together with Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited, Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), and VALCO, are among eight institutions dissolved.
Others are Ghana Post Company Limited, Road Maintenance Trust Fund, TDC Ghana Limited, and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation.
In the official communique by the spokesperson to the president, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the president has directed sector ministers concerned to give effect to the dissolution.
The boards will be reconstituted in “due course”.
