Austria THRASH Ghana 5-1 In Friendly

Date:

The Black Stars of Ghana suffered a morale-damaging 5-1 defeat at the hands of Austria in an international friendly.

Otto Addo and his now beefed-up technical team set up the Ghana Black Stars in a preparatory match ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Austria on Friday night in Vienna.

The toothless Ghanaian stars looked like complete amateurs against the not-so-European giant, though friendlies are mostly played to assess the strength and weaknesses of a team.

Marcel Sabitzer, Michael Gregoritsch, Stefan Posch, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Nicola Seiwald scored to overwhelm the Black Stars, who could only pull one back through Jordan Ayew.

Ghana will turn their attention towards Die Mannschaft on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart.
