Wilfried Nancy has been announced as the permanent successor of Brendan Rodgers at Celtic.
The French manager replaces the veteran manager Martin O’Neill, who briefly steered affairs as caretaker manager.
Nancy, 48, who becomes the first-ever Black manager for Celtic, was the first Black coach to win the MLS.
The former CF Montreal boss had Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah as captain and Yaw Yeboah as his talisman when he won the ML with Columbus Crew.
His style of football and man management caught the attention of Scottish giants, who seek to dominate the league and impress in Europe.
Nancy’s previous assistant coach at Columbus Crew, Kwame Ampadu, once worked with the current Director of Football at Celtic, Paul Tisdale.
In Nancy, Celtic are getting a coach who has an identity and a way of playing that fans relate to and that fans feel proud of.
