The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has announced a new Annual Pensioner Certificate Renewal Policy.
The new policy initiative requires that pensioners renew their pensioner certificate in their birth month each year to ensure timely payments of their benefits.
Pensioners can use the following channels for their certificate renewal: the SSNIT Mobile App (facial verification), the SSNIT Virtual Branch, SSNIT Partner Banks, and any other SSNIT Branch nationwide.
Pensioners living outside the country are advised to patronise the SSNIT Mobile App for their renewal; those with mobility challenges will be assisted through home verification, while the ones unable to use digital platforms must visit the nearest branch.
The Annual Pensioner Certificate Renewal Policy will help promote integrity, accuracy, and security.
