Naval Officer’s Charity Swim for Special Needs Facilities

Date:

Naval officer AB2 Akutor Sarah Princess embarks on a 3.1 km swim challenge for a worthy cause.

AB2 Akutor Sarah Princess would be swimming from Busua Beach to Abokwa Island in the Western Region.

Flag Officer Commanding, Commodore Eric Osei of the Naval Logistics, has shed light on AB2 Princess’ selfless act.

He explained the garrison needed facilities to cater for officers having children with special needs.

“The issue is that the personnel who have children with special needs seek these services outside the barracks.

These things come with fatigue and stress. If we have these facilities in the barracks, it will relieve them from taking their children outside the barracks,” said Commodore Osei.

AB2 Princess is hoping to raise enough funds for the setup of a facility to cater for children with special needs.
