Many have questioned the whereabouts of the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, since the murder of popular Asante Kotoko fan, Nana Pooley.
Nana Pooley, known privately as Francis Yaw Frimpong, died following a knife attack at the Nana Kronamansah Park in Nsoatre during a league match between Nsoatreman and the away team, Kotoko.
The heinous crime has had followers and sympathizers of Kotoko livid and seeking immediate answers to lots of questions.
A delegation of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), with the exclusions of president Kurt Okraku and his vice, Mark Addo, engaged the management of Kotoko on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Led by the General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo Esq., Nana Oduro Sarfo, a member of the Executive Council at the GFA, explained to Kotoko’s management that Kurt Okraku’s ill health was the main reason for his silence on the matter.
“Since the incident occurred, he has not spoken publicly. The reason is that Kurt is not feeling well and is currently not in the country. If he was well, he would have been the first to visit Kotoko’s camp. Once he recovers and returns safely, he will be here,” Sarfo Oduro stated.
