A three-month-old baby, along with five others, has perished in a blazing inferno at Abuakwa Manhyia in the Ashanti Region.

The cause of the fire, which began around 12:30 am on Monday, December 22, 2025, is yet to be established by the Ghana National Fire Service.

The victims were trapped in the apartment as the fire blazed at every possible exit, resulting in their demise.

The charred bodies of the victims have been deposited at the local mortuary after they were identified by the police.
