Fast-rising rapper Kwame Yogot says Amerado will never get a hit song in his life ever again.
According to him, Amerado sampled the song “Shege” which he sang with a Nigerian artist, SK Da Superman.
Kwame Yogot, while speaking on the Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday, revealed that after the song was released, Amerado contacted him for a remix.
”But at that time, I was having a show in Cape Coast and he also said he was having a show in Kumasi, only for me to hear the next day that Amerado has released Kwaku Ananse, a sample song of Shege. This is musical theft” he lamented.
Kwame Yogot explained that “Shege” was a song he intended to release by himself but had a problem with his record label, thus, he gave the song to SK Da Superman, and he did little to promote it.
”That is the reason Amerado managed to sample the song. That Kwaku Ananse song is spiritual and huge. That song is his biggest hit, he will never get a song like that again. Amerado be my guy, that’s why I am telling him the truth. That song, I know where I go take am from he wouldn’t ever get any hit again,” he added.
Kwame Yogot maintained that he had not cursed Amerado but his words were testament to what was happening.
”After Kwaku Ananse Amerado has released many tracks but had not become a hit,” he added.
