Christian Atsu was very kind – Albert Adomah pays tribute to former teammate

Date:

When playing for the Ghana national team, former Black Stars forward Albert Adomah recounted his loving recollections of the late Christian Atsu.

In the aftermath of the earthquake that struck sections of Turkey and Syria on February 17, 2022, Christian Atsu was discovered dead on the morning of February 18 at the location of his destroyed flat. He had been there for 12 days.

Many all across the world have been paying their respects, particularly in the football community. Albert Adomah, who also shared the Black Stars winger’s locker room, has also paid his respects.

Albert Adomah talked about the times he had shared a room with the late footballer and praised him for being a wonderful person off the field.

“He was kind and a good guy. I know him from the national team and we were roommates a couple of times when we were on national assignments. I feel like crying now because its been hard to process the tragedy.”

“My condolences to his family because it’s hard. He was a quiet person but always came to the party when we were having the worship sessions in the national teams and he always brought the good vibes,” Albert Adomah said in an interview.

After being removed from the location of his residence, Christian Atsu’s body was flown to Istanbul, where it stayed the night before being sent to Ghana on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
