Moses Simon of the Super Eagles of Nigeria believes the Black Stars of Ghana suffered and didn’t have luck against the Blue Sharks of Ghana on Sunday.
Ghana faced Cape Verde in their opening Group B match at the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations, which they lost 1-2 in the final minutes.
Monteiro had given the Islanders the lead in the first half before Alexander Djiku brought the Ghanaians level ten minutes into the second half.
A defensive error late in the game saw Garry Rodrigues steal all three points for the Blue Sharks.
“Both teams played very well. Of course, I support Ghana because I have a lot of friends there,” Simon told Sienu TV.
“Of course they don’t have luck; the last-minute opportunity was an error, and they lost the game. I just hope the next game they have to push more to make their fans proud.”
