Benfica president Rui Costa believes Manchester United will meet their £69 million valuation for striker Goncalo Ramos.
Ramos has attracted attention due to his impressive performance, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists during the season.
In May, Bruno Fernandes, who also plays for Manchester United, expressed his desire for the club to sign Ramos, stating that he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world.
According to reports from Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, Benfica rejected a bid of approximately £52 million from an unnamed club for Ramos.
Manchester United United had shown interest in Ramos back in January but faced budget constraints that prevented them from making a substantial offer. As a result, they opted to sign Wout Weghorst on loan instead.
Ramos’s contributions, including 19 league goals, played a significant role in helping Benfica win the Primeira Liga title. Additionally, he helped the team reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive season.
