Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has disclosed that he secured a mansion worth GH¢20,000 for hiplife artist Okomfour Kwadee when he went off the grid.
According to him, the house was needed in order to help in the mental treatment of the once-celebrated musician who abused drugs and suffered a mental breakdown.
Speaking in a recent media interview, Kwaku Manu explained that the rehab centre where Kwadee was receiving treatment requested for the musician to get a mansion closer to the centre for his fast recovery
He said after hearing that, he contacted Abena Manu, the woman operating the rehab centre, and offered the GH¢20,000 to secure the building, stressing that the support he gave to the musician made him feel fulfilled.
“At the end of each month, I would send some money to the woman so she could buy food and essentials for Kwadee, and that alone made me feel fulfilled,” he added.
