GPL 2024-25: Kotoko suffer first defeat of the season to Legon Cities

Date:

Asante Kotoko succumbed to their first defeat of the matchday six outstanding match to the struggling Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The win gives a sense of relief to Legon Cities, who have been desperate to get out of their rut since the start of the new season.

Albert Yeboah gave Legon Cities the lead in the 22nd minute in the first-half before Albert Amoah continued his scoring streak, equalizing for the Kotoko in the 76th minute.

Abdul Rahman quelled any hope of the Porcupine Warriors producing a comeback win soon after Albert Amoah’s equalizer for Kotoko.

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum’s Kotoko will be targeting a win over Heart of Lions in their next match at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium as they still eye the league title.
