Nora Hauptle’s Black Queens delivered a convincing 3-0 victory over the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in the first leg of a double header at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Togolese referee Vicentia Amedome was the official referee handling the international tie.
Gifty Assifuah gave the Black Queens a great start after taking advantage of a rebound in the second minute of the first half.
Real Betis’ Grace Asantewaa doubled Ghana’s lead six minutes later with a beautiful solo run before striking the ball into the net.
The Black Queens strung together a total of ten passes to get the third goal by Gifty Assifuah in the forty-sixth minute of the first half to ensure a commanding win for the hosts.
Black Queens will play Senegal again on Tuesday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
