Eleven people have been injured after a two-vehicle collision at Eduagyei on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway.
The accident involving nine men and two women occurred on the evening of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at about 7:15 p.m.
Personnel from the Komenda Fire Station responded to a distress call and arrived at the scene at 7:30 p.m.
According to Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), ADOII Abdul Wasiu Hudu, an Opel Astra with registration number WR 4860-13, travelling from Cape Coast towards Komenda, collided head-on with a Nissan minibus with registration number CR 1414-23, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
He confirmed 10 passengers aboard the Nissan minibus were rescued by members of the community and transported to the Elmina Polyclinic before fire service personnel arrived.
