The Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday night defeated Morocco to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The match ended 1-0 in favour of Senegal after 120 minutes, thanks to Pape Gueye’s first-half extra time goal.

During the encounter, Brahim Diaz of the Atlas Lions of Morocco saw his weak panenka saved by Senegal goalkeeper, Eduoard Mendy.
