The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) carried out a successful anti-narcotics operation that resulted in the arrest of a number of individuals in Buduburam.
Amongst those arrested is a notorious drug leader, or queen, popularly known as ‘Mother’ in the Gomoa East Municipality in the Central Region on Friday, January 16, 2026.
Mother, 32, who also goes by Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei, is said to be a key figure in the drug operations in and around Buduburam and had previously managed to evade arrest.
Items seized by NACOC officials include suspected cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled substances.
NACOC has assured the general public of ensuring all suspects will face the full strength of the law.
