Apply Early for World Cup Visas— US Embassy

Date:

All who are planning to travel to the United States of America for the global football fiesta, the FIFA World Cup, have been advised to apply early for visas.

The U.S. Embassy in Accra on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, announced the opening of thousands of additional non-immigrant visa appointment slots for the summer football event.

“Embassy Accra continues to process non-immigrant visa applications,” the mission stated, advising prospective travellers who do not yet hold valid U.S. visas to begin their application process early.

Early application may increase the chances of securing interview appointments for those wanting to travel for the World Cup.
