Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is in good health after receiving medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
Reports indicate that she fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, 2025, and was admitted for care. A government statement issued by Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, confirmed that medical experts had recommended further evaluation abroad.
Amid public concern, Eric Adjei, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) and former deputy spokesperson for Opoku-Agyemang’s 2024 campaign, has reassured Ghanaians of her recovery.
Sharing a photo with the Vice President on Facebook, Adjei stated, “Our mother, the Vice President, is in good health, thanks to God’s grace. I’ve received updates from the team, and Mum is doing very well.”
The latest update eases fears and confirms that Vice President Opoku-Agyemang is on the mend.
