Asante Kotoko Chairman, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awuah, has expressed pride in the club’s upcoming participation in the 2025 Toyota Cup in South Africa.
The Porcupine Warriors will face Kaizer Chiefs on July 26, 2025, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Nana Apinkra applauded the event organizers, stating, “We’re proud to be part of this celebration of African unity. Toyota and Kaizer Chiefs are showing what African football can truly become.”
He underscored the importance of the event, adding, “Football has long been a bridge between people and nations. This tournament reflects what’s possible when the game is driven by vision and purpose.”
Calling it a major opportunity for the club, he said, “This is a big moment for us, and we’re looking forward to the trip and the match.”
The Toyota Cup will also feature appearances by football legends and give fans a chance to win a brand-new Toyota Starlet.
