Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 in a 2022 World Cup qualifier.
The game which was played at the Cape Coast Stadium saw Mubarak Wakaso score the only goal of the game.
Wakaso’s first-half strike was enough as Ghana recorded a 1-0 win over Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium to go top of Group G.
The goal was the only one the separated the two sides at the Cape Coast Stadium. The Black Stars were not at the best on the day but they were solid to pick up the maximum points.
CK Akonnor and his charges will in 3 days time play their second game as they take on South Africa away on Monday, September 6.
Ghana failed to make Russia 2018, a major setback for the nation and will be hoping to add South Africa to their victims on Monday to maintain their 100% record in the World Cup 2022 qualifiers as they bid to make it to Qatar.
This is due to Zimbabwe holding South Africa to a 0-0 draw in Harare in the other Group G clash.
